Regina Abbott is Hands-On

Regina Abbott is president and ownerRegina.jpg of Hands On-Site.

Regina's extensive background in neuroscience and pain management offer her a unique and in depth understanding of anatomy and physiology, which has been key in developing the workplace massage programs offered by Hands On-Site.  These programs address the effects that constant stress, poor ergonomics and repetitive motion have on the human body.

Regina's career encompasses clinical, teaching, management and consulting expertise in neuroscience that include positions such as Director of the Clinical Neurophysiology Laboratories at Tufts University, New England Medical Center in Boston, clinical instructor for Tufts and Harvard University Medical School students, as well as for students from Laboure College Electrodiagnostic Technology Program, where she was a member of the Advisory Board.

She has been a consultant and national educator for the TECA Corporation and Nihon Kohden (America), was a national examiner for the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologists and a clinical evaluator for the California College of Health Sciences.

Regina maintains a private neuroscience consulting practice that specializes in management and testing services in Hampton Roads and in facility design, development, educational and management services nationally.

A 2000 graduate of the Advanced Fuller School of Massage Therapy in Virginia Beach, Regina is a Certified Massage Therapist  (National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork).  In response to her private practice clients asking for massage where they really need it - at work - Regina established Hands On-Site.  Within three years Hands On-Site has become the leading Corporate Massage Company in the Mid Atlantic states.

Regina is profiled in Who's Who of American Women, Who's Who in America and Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare.

She is a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association, The American Society of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists and The National Association of Female Executives.

Regina serves on the advisory board of the Centura College Massage Therapy Program in Virginia Beach.

Regina specializes in workplace stress management massage, as well as massage for upper extremity repetitive use injuiries including problems such as carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, golfer's elbow, frozen shoulder, thoracic outlet syndrome and rotator cuff syndrome.

She also finds time to volunteer with the Eastern Virginia Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Virginia Beach SPCA and the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.
